Govt is never one man effort/show.It is a team effort. Just like software projects are.For sure it will not be one man show with BJP.We have NDA's rule for example.While we are that NDA had allies in it too.

Canada immigration is simple & straight forward.
No expensive lawyers are required or any lengthy procedures. Just self do. Also look at the currency rate of US and Canada almost same... Tax is a little high but medical is fully covered.
You need to fill forms,send all your education, papers etc and LO ! you are done and get PR Card. Some of my friends got it in less than 2 yrs.

Company is also very prestigious and more or less you can consider it of the size of Microsoft).... I took decision not to go and so I was out of the company.. Some friends went there.. after 2 years laid off.. Those 2 years they got American salary on Canadian land (Dream, huh !!!!!!!!) ,, But then what after lay off.. One of them had to sit 6 months to get proper job.. Way less salary... Can this happen to everybody? May not be..But the bottom line is you will have to fiight out the hurdles.. Here you have GC Process hurdle.. In canada you may not have that but you may be having other 100 hurdles... What will you do then? WIll you go to Australia? ...There are 600 countries so at the most you can do 600 migrations :-) By the way both of my friends now want to come back to USA after getting citizenship and their families do not want to move as they have mentally fed up with this move from country to country.. The following is a very rough draft without reading some of the letters posted in the thread. I will read the posts tomorrow and polish it by tomorrow evening. I will need everyone's input since I don't know all the issues.

More and more, I see people posting messages containing the unspoken assumption that since the Indian E2 cutoff date has moved forward, it is likely to move forward further in the coming months. This is a false hope.
I personally feel it all depends on how USCIS is gonna process the cases during August 2008.
When Ron writes about the new EB2 India quota for 2008, he does not mention spill over to EB 2 India from EB1 category. Which is a very important aspect behind the prediction given by optimists like vdlrao and others.
However at the same time, if USCIS does not bring its act together and we end up wasting the visas once again ( it highly unlikely that consular visa posts will assign 20 to 40K visas in next two months ... Are there so many people going with CP route??) the dates for EB2 India will retrogress but certainly not to an extent that they go back to 2003. There will be a mild retrogression and EB2 India date may come back to April 2004. However, later on they will progress further because of new years quota and spillover from EB1.

That is true. No one knows the impact of outsourcing. Because no public data is available unlike H1b or L1. If american public gets exact data about outsourcing then they will oppose that also and goverment has to act. But there is no legal binding for Government or Corporations to give data about outsourcing. Some time back most manufacturing went silently out of USA and when people started realizing it was too late to act. But relaxing immigration will not prevent outsourcing as everything is based on cost

Did it occur for a single moment that if some one gets out of the line, the line gets shorter? F Y I, This is NOT about me. This is about every one here.
