Without knowing the situation of all the students, it is not fair to jump into conclusions. I am sure at least a few if not all the students, left India and come here with an intention to cheat. Some of them may not have known the true intent or authenticity of this university. From their standpoint it could just be they have gotten into a recognized univeristy in the US and this was going to be a gateway to a bright future. USCIS should only have themselves to blame before blaming the students for issuing I-20s, CPTs and OPTs. If the students came here on valid I-20s and are doing all the right things by going to class, why blame them. Again there could be students who are taking advantage of the system and doing the wrong things but there is blame everywhere.
All of us come here with dreams, dont we. Sometimes the dreams turn into nightmares and when it does we dont have to go out of our way to support the students in distress but the least we could do is stay away from adding to their woes. This is not a time to play smart Alec.

It is correct that a MBA will prepare one for mutiple fields, however the question being asked is specific for IT professionals who are trying to jump into management.
I believe the confusion is there between MBA and PMP, because some of the folks are at a juncture where they want to make a quick buck and are also thinking of career advancement.
Yes for a quick buck you can get a PMP and move up the ladder, but for long term sustainance you need MBA for senior management posts.

The discussion seems to be focused on getting a certification to add to your resume. I am a PMP too, have delivered several small projects.
I think whether you are a PM or a developer, PMP is a good step to understanding and appreciating the business value of what you are doing as a techie.
It is not just a certification but a way of thinking.
It applies to everything in your life not just your work......
Treating it like a commodity isn't the best way to look at it.

The kids from the second marriage can definitely come. He can call the first wife get her the green card, then divorce her and go and marry the second wife and bring her here.
once he gets his GC (until he becomes a citizen) getting the 2nd wife over iis going to take too long, as its in FB quota, not EB. Thats one reason why many unmarried folks did not file their I-485 in July/August. If their 485 is approved before their marriage, then bringing the spouse over is real tough.

Things like legislative changes take time. We may think that the debate on illegal immigration has nothing to do with our issues but the corrupt Senators will always try to sneak in some reform related to illegal immigrants into our bills in exchange for their votes, ultimately derailing the entire bill.
We sincerely need to work with the law makers--the guys in the immigation committees, in particular. Please, desist using 'corrupt' senators. Debates in democracy are always healthy. We must emphasise our points, gather support from aila our employers and beneficiaries and respect a system.

I received an RFE from NSE on Sep 2nd week asking me to prove that I have 5 years of experience after completion of degree.
Country: India
Date of Joining with current employer : Jan 2006.
PERM Filing/ Approval Date: Aug 2006.
I-485/ EAD filing Date: July 2007.
I-140 RFE received date: Sep 2007.
The RFE reads as follows.

"Please submit evidence which establishes that the beneficiary had at least five years of experience as a software engineer after receiving his bachelor's degree but prior to August XX, 2006. Since your evidence does not indicate that the beneficiary received his bachelor's degree until 2002, this does not appear possible.
If the beneficiary received a degree prior to 2002, please submit a copy of that degree. A certificate that he had completed a coursework for a degree is not a degree."

I finished my school in Dec 2000 and never had to go to the school except for one exam in 2001 and another one in June 2002. (In my university, examinations are conducted only once in 8 months). I checked my transcripts that were sent along with I-140 and it has the dates of 2001 and June 2002 due to the examination. Its present at the bottom along with Main date of Dec 2000.
I had placed the course completion certificate from my college along with the I-140 application and it looks like INS don't take that info consideration.
I am in deep trouble now. Your help is greatly appreciated. My attorney didn't find these issues before filing the labor certification on EB2.
The newspaper ad given before filing the labor certification asks for Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience.

Is there a way I can keep my EAD alive by those motions?

If thats the case then why don't they move the PD forward. EB3-I is stuck in 2001 since last 3 years and its not moving forward at all. How can we get some help here, ombudsman?
After waiting in limbo for so long....even an RFE sounds like sweet news :) . I am hoping its about something simple like Employment verification or something (My company is Fortune 100 , so I don't think it would be about ability to pay). And hoping there are no other delays on the way (like Namecheck etc)
So at last they opened my case. I hope the RFE gets resolved soon, before the dates retrogress or become 'U'. As of now my PD is current in Nov as well. So crossing my fingers!
I hope that other EB3-I cases stuck in 2001/2002 will start getting picked up soon as well and approved. All the best to you all.

For those of you celebrating the defeat of Democrats because they sabotaged CIR due to the "path to citizenship" it's time to get real. Conservatives (both Dems and Repubs) are more than comfortable shutting the door to ALL immigrants. Don't fall into the trap of anti-immigrant legislators, don't let them turn this into a wedge issue.
Turning on the undocumented is not what we want to show to the outside, it is a losing proposition and will turn off the public.
As to what to do now, I'm puzzled. CIR is effectively dead in the US House, probably the Senate as well. The voters said loud and clear this week that they want the focus to be on JOBS not anything else like grandiose immigration legislation.
What to do now? Looks like another 2 years tacked on to the wait from my perspective :/

My PD is Aug 2005. My employer by mistake sent the 485 application on June 27 and USCIS received on June 28. Today Aug 21, I received the rejected 485 full package back. Employer is following up whether it can sent back. Anybody has any idea of any luck in this case, or has to wait till dates are current again?:mad:

We filed our AOS, EAD and AP on Aug 13th at NSC. We are from Santa Clara county in california. I heard that people from santa clara are getting FP's very late?
We have got our Receipts on Sept 30 and EAD on Oct 28th. No FP and AP yet.
My question is how to create service request?
We are planning out of country. Just waiting for this FP to be done.
Can we postpone FP for a specific period of time?
