If this is true, how come CIR is one of the main agendas of democratic party. Also remember hispanic votes were a deciding factor in the last election. GOP acknowledges that. Moreover voters demographics has changed since last election. Electorate is comprised of higher percentage of forward thinking younger generation.
IMO anti-immigrant racist voter percentage will be on decline in coming years. So democrats/gop is better off catering to the likes of this younger generation.
Actually it is like the "Gareebi Hatao" (translation: Remove Poverty) slogan for the Democratic party. Something to be used in certain districts for election only.

Sorry - for some reason the post showed up as new on my PC and I did not notice the date. This is evaluation advice and certainly not an ad. It is important that everyone understand what they need as many attorneys make mistakes. It was free advice. That is my only reason to be here. The vast majority of my business comes from attorneys and firms. If you can tell me how I can help and not have you think it is an ad each time, then I will do so. I see so many bad situations that could have been avoided if everyone were just a bit more informed. That is all I seek to do here.

I am wondering everybody here is throwing stones at small consulting companies, I wonder how these people came to US surely somebody did there H1? right? People are working in big companies HP/Oracle/SAP bla bla.. but I'm sure they are not the ones who brought you guys here. Also the day they'll get their green cards each of these people are going to open similar companies and do the same thing. This is amazing how people forget their past and forget the people who brought them here...I will call you guys thankless....
Sorry to disillusion you, but there ARE people who are US educated and never even spoke to a consulting firm before. Not everyone is an IT consultant, again don't paint everyone with th same brush. People do get H1 in a full time position other than consulting.

I just got my EAD yesterday (with 1 year validity even though PD is not current). My company lawyer will contact USCIS about this, will update once I have any info.
Received only one year EAD .I will have to call USCIS for incorrect validity date of issued EAD.

Well .. there you go. When I predicted few weeks ago that there will be a big jump in the priority dates, some of us came up with big speeches about how that thread was a big waste of time and the thread should be closed. The thread in fact was closed without any explanation. It appears that there has been several occasions where moderators are just closing the threads without any explanation.

Here is my suggestion.. don't close the thread just because you can. At least give some explanation as to why any thread was closed. I know there are threads that talk about personal issues faced by members and if that's not acceptable then all threads dealing with personal issues should be closed.
What amazes me is that person closing the thread doesn't even want to mention his/her id. What a shame ..

We need a slogan that mentions H1B's contribution to Social Security. I have not been able to find an article that mentions it. There are lot articles that mention undocumented workers contribution in billions. Just imagine how much we must have contributed and NO ONE mentions it
also scan through the vivek wadhwa report and pick a few lines to use as slogans from it. we need it this long weekend. Franklin is working on collecting them and finalizing it. we are running short on good slogans

Receipting is not done by VO and the staff who do receipting follow certain procedures.
USCIS mailroom has certain protocols and thats why even our AC21 documentation does not reach file.
Files are distributed to different officers and they work on the files.
Without a receipt number you cannot track your MTR.
Talk to a very good Attorney on further course of action.
I filed MTR - my 485 was denied because the officer ignored the AC21 job change. When I called customer service and explained - I was transferred to a VO and when I explained it, she requested me to file an appeal so that I don't have to pay instead f MTR.
When I talked to Attorney - she said "Don't do that - when your MTR gets receipted, you can track it but cannot track an appeal"
Remember MTR = if USCIS makes a mistake - MTR costs $$
Appeal = if you want AAO to consider various factors on a correctly interpreted denial and appeal to see if you can convince.
Does this mean that an MTR filed without the filing fee is automatically considered an appeal?

Good that all of us are up and running tracking the progress of these bills but please don't forget to do your part. Every single call counts. Every single donation counts.
