This I hope will convince more people to join and align themselves with IV's activities than going in their seperate ways.
Most of us will have ideas, but agreed with a consensus we should let IV Core decide on a set of activities and hopefully more members embrace it.
We can never control what anti's think or how immigrants are viewed etc. We ignore others and we fight for what we think is a just measure.
Look within ourselves than looking at others.
I hope more people embrace IV(monetarily, physically, morally) for us to be able to bring volume into our side of the arguments.

Citizens want to either start consulting companies and get H1B employees or want to stop more Indians coming. More Indians mean less jobs for their children.

Apart from the French language and referendum threat, are there any other downsides for Montreal? I guess the reason I seem to be fixated is that I think if I am going to make this change I might as well change the life setting to somewhat more European (in terms of architecture and the environment overall) as I am getting tired of American setting some times. So Montreal sounds more European in that sense. I do however, have a wife and kids and not sure if that makes a difference in the choice of destination as oppose to being a single migrant. Any differences in terms of education quality or family friendly policies between Ontario and Quebec?

For mortgage, you have to shop around to find one that does not mind your non-immigrant status. I was able to get preapproved for a first time buyer loan with low rate. But I did not purchase the house. So I will not know if they would jack my rate up at closing because of my status as the insurance company did.
Thats interesting to know that we even pay higher life insurances due to not having a greencard. can someone else second this from their experience. I am not aware of these hardships so if we have to say this in any media interview, we need correct information substantiated by facts.

You can say by mistake or something else some people chose to go for Consular Processing when dates became current and they all are in bad shape at this time. I wish some group were working on getting attached in some bill a provision that lets the H-4s work. I thought we had a good chance because it is under discussion a bill similar to Bill S.2611 that would let the spouses of the Illegal workers regularized under Blue card status to also work so I assumed that a some point they were going to have a provision for the spouses of H-1Bs. I hope IV and QGA are doing something about this. If no group brings to the senators etc.'s attention that there is a part unattended regading the H-1B spouses right to work, nothing would happen. Here is what I am trying to say:
If S.2611 is going to be discussed in the senate/house, this will allow the spouse of the Blue card status worker (previously illegal worker and now regularized) to work for any employer -while the spouse is in blue card status-, shouldn't it be mentioned in the same law in the parragraph with the H-1B and dependandts provision that that the same applies for the H-1B spouses -that they could work for any employer while the H-1B status of the spouse is valid-? The L-1 spouses can work too so why do we H-4s have to suffer? Why nobody is advocating this?
