Sorry i updated under the wrong thread.
ours was a paper filed on July 2nd. Card was mailed on 08/07/08. Still waiting for it to make it to the mail box.
I have not recieved any FP notice yet. Surprising I also saw a soft LUD on AP when care production got ordered for EAD but no updates on AP or FP yet.

There is a petition to capture lost visa. If lost visas are recaptured, there will be some relief.
but even with this big announcement tomorrow, we still only have 140,000 visas and keep in mind USCIS has just been averaging about 100,000 per year. (so about 40,000 get wasted every year)
All all this does is to push the bottleneck further down the pipeline.
the only benefit I see is that it helps with filing of AP and EAD which does not help someone like me with my 485 already pending

dear members,
dint had much time to go thro' your responses. but if senior ppl are targetting this fellow( mercies) for this thread, then i beg to differ. because as a member of IV, i have been answering "hadron" posts too at immigration portal.
I think all Mercies is trying to do is help IV out, by preparing answers of such questions which stupid ppl ask, so they can be put to a stop right away. Probably he's drawing your attention to some q's that all of you have answers for, just guide mercies to that post,
but i think all of your remarks have been directed towards merices only as if he's started it all.
i guess we outta stop ppl who are trying to defame this collective effort by giving them one-point answers.

Exactly! I go by a different user name at Immigration Portal, and tried my best to counter hadron's posts. I only created this thread after I saw that no people in the know were countering this guy. I am a foot soldier, not an officer.
The post from rags4u is exactly what we needed. He and another IV guy is engaged in getting things under control, as I wanted.
I wonder if this person who did all this posting without reading what is posted on the site and wasted the valuable time of IV volunteers from an anti immigration group? Please do not get distracteed guys and all those people sitting ont he edge, join in and act!!
As for all of you guys who raise the scare of anti-immigrationists at the drop of the hat - go thru all of my posts, and you will find I cannot be from numbersusa. You can also check with IV's officers and they can get my name/address from my contribution check already deposited in IV's account!
Please try to counter propaganda wherever you can - that's how we will get more people to join! Efforts like mine do not waste time - they serve a purpose!

Loved them all but I was torn between eilsoe and kax. kax's shadows are what impressed me most, and if the castle was populated or had a little more color, I might have voted there, but I instead took to eilsoe's because of the people and captions ;) It also embodies more what I think of as 'pixel art', which is very straight or isometric, not to say those that werent wer bad because of that; in fact that gives a more impressive look and feel, but I needed some fun and eilsoe delivered. What shocked me most is that there were more people waiting in line at the mens bathrooms... hmm, guess its mostly guys there. :) The duck reflections were also a nice touch.

No. I am not anti-immigrant. I am anti-illegal immigrant. I know the AZ law very well coz I read it not like many who seem to listen to talk radio. Good opinions can be formed only with good knowledge and we don't need evryone to have an opinion. Most should only subscribe to an opinion otherwise there will only be infighting and no progress.
President Obama just lost a good chance to gain democratic majority in Nov. Now people are saying....why is the fed govt. not letting a state protect its citizens?

What you are saying I understand. And many american/GC holders work as independent contractors on 1099. But H1B is never designed for independent contractor (1099). H1B is designed as W2. By using percentage basis H1B consultants are trying to work like independent contractor on 1099. USCIS is trying to crack down on that.
No H1B works on 1099.

Can you copy and paste the exact letter, i mean to ask the exact letter means does it contain any agent id.
1. Did you opened any SR in TSC around 10/14 or 10/15, We have a group of people who had the same problem in TSC during those days. all the letters replied by the same agent.
2. Find out from attorney if he charges any fee for this. If so please don't go with him.
take an info pass and find out the details.
This is the best way to find out. (As i told you the group of people got the same response, most of them took info pass and found that nothing wrong in their case)

This is my guess.

I am not an expert in starting a poll - But I think it will help to take a headcount for /year PD basis.
Esp. 2002,2003,2004,2005,Until June1,2006 cases. Proportion of which could serve as some kind of estimate - Can be cross checked with for sanity.

For the record, I don't mind the red's I "earn". But as you also observed, you get that for free around here by the dozen. And I can't ignore it when people act childishly
There is no doubt the policies are flawed, foolish or whatever. But I maintain that screaming out to another person/s in a forum is of little good. Agreed that your arguments have weight, but they should be made to the right person at the right time. So let's wait for the next letter-writing event and we can participate in writing the draft..
Sure, sign me up whenever we get to it. It's just unfortunate to see that we have such little ROW presence here even though there are thousands of them in the backlog. There's so much of a regional bent that we forget having a diversified presence in this activism may make the job half as tough.
