BUt keep in mind that when you enroll in a GROUP insurance which is typically your new insruance with you new company..most of the companies DONT have any restrictions on the pre existing condnitions, per my experience.
however if you buy a individual pocliy they will unload on you a TON of restrictions...no wonder why we see many old people working in Walmart and other places just for insurance..God save us when we get old :)

Below are similar bills that were introduced last year (pulled from the opencongress webiste). These bills didnt go anywhere. They just ended as "referred to judiciary commitee" or "refered to subcomittee on immigration". How will this bill be different from these bills? I got a feeling nothing will happen in the end, not even a vote in the senate. I hope I'm wrong.

Dont lose hope. I am on H4 since 2000 too and been out of workforce ever since. I had 6 years of prior experience. Now, I have a job offer(non IT) and the company is planning to sponsor my H1 this April. Keep applying and something will work out.

Come on we need to learn to forget the cold war days. This is 21st century and the age of facebook and other social networking platforms. the world is getting more connected and there will soon be no place for fighter planes any more. What we need is "food" and "water".....
Nature is showing us again and again the futility of our ambitions (regional and international) through her rather quite infrequent thrashings these days....
296 people perished this week in terrible tornadoes (worst in last 40 years!!!).....10000 or more a month ago in Japan earthquake (5th worst ever recorded!!!)....

An IV core member is going to be helping you to fix this with USCIS. Let us know if you need help. He already tried contacting you yesterday.
As IV grows maybe this is a help IV can extend to all its donor members and help them if they get in such extreme distress situations. This is one of the ideas we are thinking for our members in the donor group.

I really thank IV for the support extended so far. I am praying to god and hoping that this matter is resovled else this will seriously affect my small family of me, my wife and my one year old for absolutely no fault of ours.
I am also working with the law firm and they are trying to reach out to USCIS to try to rectify this grave mistake.
The only thing that really worries me is that in the withdrawl notice from USCIS it says
"'As a result of your request, your application is considered withdrawn, and it will recieve no further consideration by USCIS. There is no appeal to this decision.'"
I will keep the forum updated on any developments

i dont have any hope in December bulletin, waiting for next year.
Anyways, I hope all of us should get out of this mess ASAP.

Can anyone tell what will be the status of a person who has used AC21 , and does not get the EAD renewal before the existing EAD expires ? Assume 140 has been approved, 180 days has been passed and got the EAD renewal receipt.

good point about the H1 quota exempt option. Though remember there is no blanket exemption for doctors...their H1 is cap exempt only if they work for a non-profit institution/university. So it all depends on the employer.
i was in a similar situation about this with a priority date of Jan '06.. i was planning to get married in dec 2009.. but my dates were current and fearing that I might get my GC soon, I rushed to Australia (my fiancee is AUS citizen) and got a registered marriage done... she is still in aus and planning to join me later using following-to-join when i do get gc.. unfortunately, I did not get my GC when the dates were current in Aug or Sep...
but, i dont know how to advice you.. it is a very sticky situation... i think best option is to do H1B, and before that to try and get some visitor visa... my lawyer says there is a 50% chance for one to get H1B if you apply on April 1st.. and almost 0% chance if you apply after April 1st...

I filed for my ead in late september, got an rfe in mid nov, sent papers but see no change in status. how long does it take with an rfe to get ead? my 90 days are nearing and I am afraid with the holiday season coming, that I might not get in time. Get one thing done is better than spreading limited resources on multiple topics. To increase immigration quotas is not achievable before presidential election is done.
Why not just focus on getting name check delay solved. It is under congress scrutiny already, all need are to add more oil to the fire.
